The debate on the future of Soham is moving forward with the publication of the Soham Masterplan Vision - Soham is setting out bold and ambitious proposals for its future which will help to complete its transformation from an expanding village into a welcoming and thriving 21st Century Cambridgeshire Market Town.

These Masterplan proposals will establish Soham as a key development opportunity in the district.  They demonstrate how Soham can accommodate more growth sustainably, and the benefits which this would bring to the community, as well as the wider area.

The District Council wants to ensure all aspects of growth, such as housing, transport, employment, leisure, together with real physical changes are developed in a co-ordinated way rather than left just to happen.  Importantly, the Council is seeking not only to retain, but to enhance Soham's status as a special place to live, work and play.
